Queen Bees & Nucleus Colonies

Perth Queen Bees & Nucleus Colonies

We breed and supply Perth queen bees and nucleus bee hives (nucs) which have been newly mated and raised within our Western Australian apiaries. This delicate grafting process is achieved by gently removing newly hatched larva from our Rottnest queen mother and placing them into queen cell cups. The nurse bees carry on rearing the queens before capping each of the cells, they continue to develop over several days before emerging at day 16.

We have been able to select the breeding stock for various characteristics, including their docile and calm nature, hygienic behaviours and high honey production.

Each five frame, full depth corflute nuc for sale is an established colony and contains:

imageNucs can be inspected by the buyer (bring your protective clothing).

imageCost of $250 per nuc
